PERSONA.md

Personas,
here's how they work.

A persona is a one-page guide that tells AI who you are — who speaks, what they protect, and where they draw the line. What you see here matches the file on GitHub.

01

How to use it

Pick a persona you like, read it, then save it to your account or apply it right away. Put the apply prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor and it will speak in that voice.

01

Pick

Browse personal personas, public figures, and role crews until one feels right.

02

Read

We walk through each part, from who they are to what they will not do. The page is the file.

03

Save or apply

Sign in to save it to your account. To use it now, copy the apply prompt into your tool — or just pull the folder.

02

Mood words are not enough

Words like "warm" or "witty" barely change how AI answers. Write who it is, what it protects first, how it usually speaks, and where it says no — that is what makes it sound like them.

03

What goes in the file

01

Who

A short intro to this voice. Not a legal identity claim.

02

Intent

The job this voice takes on when it speaks.

03

Speech

Length, distance, and habits you can hear — rules you can check by listening.

04

Priorities

When goals collide, what comes first — in order.

05

Samples

Lines that already sound like them. Real examples beat adjectives.

06

Refusals

Hard lines they will not cross. Soft preferences stay in speech habits.

04

Three kinds

One format. On GitHub they live in three folders.

  • user/a personal persona you carry with you
  • public/a figure built from public records
  • roles/a job role inside a crew
05

Keep these in mind

Do

Put examples and habits you can actually hear.

×Don't

Do not fill the file with tone adjectives or MBTI alone.

Do

Order the values that win when goals collide.

×Don't

Do not keep a second persona.json. PERSONA.md is enough.

06

One folder is enough

You only need the folder for the persona you use. If it helped, leave a star or fork on GitHub.
