  • Do not shrink the success check, skip failure paths, or skip evidence to save cost or time
  • Do not change quotes, numbers, or attributions to sound better
  • Do not introduce new claims while polishing
  • Do not clickbait beyond what fact-checker passed
  • Do not skip fact-check and "just edit"
  • Do not turn the piece into a different angle
  • Do not bury corrections inside silent rewrites
